These terms apply when you join our Shopping Curator programme. They sit alongside our Terms and conditions, which continue to apply to you as a member; if the two ever conflict on a Curator matter, these terms lead. We’ve written them plainly, so they can easily be read and understood.
1. What a Shopping Curator is
A Shopping Curator is a member who shares the brands and offers they recommend on their own TOSE page, and earns from the shopping that follows. Curators choose what to feature; TOSE provides the page, the tools and the tracking.
You are independent. The programme is not intended to create an employment, worker, agency, partnership or joint-venture relationship between you and TOSE, and you may not present yourself as our representative or make commitments on our behalf. You decide what to feature, when, and how, subject only to the standards in these terms — we do not direct or schedule your content, you are under no obligation to post, and you are free to work with other platforms and services.
2. Joining
Any member can apply to become a Shopping Curator. Applying is quick and approval is usually fast, and it lets us confirm your profile is suitable and that you have accepted these terms before your page is published or any earnings are paid. You must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom, and hold a TOSE account in good standing. When you create your Curator profile, you must confirm that you are at least 18. If the information you provide indicates that you are under 18, we will not approve your application. If you believe the information is incorrect, contact us; we may ask for reasonable evidence of your age before correcting it or reconsidering your application. You choose a public handle for your page; handles must not impersonate anyone, infringe anyone’s rights, or be offensive, and we may require a handle to change where it does.
You must give us accurate identity and payment details, keep them current, and you acknowledge that you are responsible for declaring any taxable income from the programme.
Your Curator profile is public. Your name or handle, your page, and what you share on it are visible to anyone, which is the point of the programme — your member account details remain private as set out in our Privacy Policy.
3. Your page and your content
What you post stays yours. You own the content you create. While it is published through the programme, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, format, resize and promote it on the platform and through TOSE’s own channels for the purposes of operating and promoting the programme. You are responsible for what you share: it must be yours to share, accurate, lawful and comply with our Acceptable Use & Community Policy.
You may share offers, brands, editorial pieces and your own purchases using the tools we provide. You must not invent offers, misstate rates or savings, or present anything as exclusive when it is not.
4. Being clear with your audience
Curator pages carry commercial content, and the law requires that to be obvious. Your Curator page displays a persistent “Ad” notice, which we render and you may not remove or obscure; individual posts or links may also require their own disclosure where they can be viewed or shared separately from your page. Where you share TOSE content elsewhere — social media, messages, anywhere — the commercial nature must be obvious before people engage with it: use “Ad” or “#Ad”, prominently and up front. Labels such as “#affiliate” or “#sponsored” are not enough on their own, as UK guidance warns they may be unclear to consumers. The disclosure must be easy to see and must not be hidden among other hashtags, placed only after a “more” button, or shown only after someone has opened or interacted with the content. This follows the CAP Code and ASA guidance. Failing to disclose is a serious matter for both of us, and repeated failure is a material breach of these terms.
5. Earning from sharing
When an eligible shopper makes a qualifying purchase through your Curator page or shared Curator link, you earn an amount equal to 20% of the purchase cashback payable to that shopper. Your earnings are paid by us and do not reduce the shopper’s cashback. If the shopper receives £1.00 of purchase cashback, you earn £0.20 and the shopper keeps their full £1.00.
Curator earnings are not calculated on sign-up bonuses, invite rewards, goodwill payments, prizes or other promotional credits unless we expressly say otherwise.
Pending, Confirmed and Available have the same meanings for your Curator earnings as the main Terms give them for cashback, applied to the underlying purchase: your earning is pending while the shopper’s cashback is pending, becomes confirmed when the retailer confirms their sale, and becomes available once we have received the commission for it. If the shopper’s cashback is declined or adjusted, your earning on that purchase is declined or adjusted in the same way. Your account shows each stage in plain words.
We may change the percentage on reasonable notice, for purchases made after the change takes effect. The rate that applied when an eligible tracked purchase occurred is the rate you receive for it — a change never applies to purchases already made.
6. Brand partnerships
Where a brand’s interests, style and audience align with yours, the brand may wish to partner with you — for example to feature their products or run a promotion on your page. We facilitate these introductions through the platform. Whether a partnership goes ahead is decided by you and the brand: you are never obliged to accept one, and a brand is never obliged to offer one. The commercial terms of each partnership are agreed for that engagement, and we will always show you clearly what is offered before you decide.
Where a partnership involves payment to you, the payment is made through TOSE: the brand pays us, and we credit your balance once we have received the payment and the agreed deliverables are met. Partnership earnings appear in your account marked by source, alongside your other earnings, with the same withdrawal threshold.
Each partnership may be subject to separate engagement terms setting out the deliverables, timetable, approvals, payment, content-usage rights and what happens if the partnership or your participation in the programme ends. Those terms will be shown to you before you accept the opportunity. Amounts you have already earned remain payable in accordance with those engagement terms. Ending your participation in the Curator programme does not automatically cancel rights or obligations that have already arisen under an accepted partnership.
Some partnership opportunities have eligibility requirements, which we show alongside the opportunity. Paid partnership content carries the same disclosure duties as everything else in section 4.
7. Getting paid
Curator earnings are paid into the same TOSE balance as your cashback, marked by source, with the same £10 withdrawal threshold and the same withdrawal methods as the main Terms. There is no separate Curator wallet. You are responsible for understanding and meeting any tax or reporting obligations that apply to you. Depending on your circumstances, your Curator earnings may be taxable and may need to be reported to HMRC. TOSE does not provide tax advice, so you should obtain your own advice if you are unsure.
8. Standards
The main Terms’ rules on using TOSE fairly apply to your Curator activity in full — including the rules on fraud, on treating our team with respect, and on content. In addition, you must not: buy through your own links or arrange purchases whose purpose is to generate Curator earnings rather than genuine shopping; mislead your audience about any offer, rate or relationship; or use your page to promote anything unlawful. These are material breaches.
9. Leaving the programme
You can stop being a Curator at any time from your account. Your page and your original posts are unpublished from the day you leave. We keep the content for 90 days in case you change your mind or need a copy, and then delete it from our live systems; copies may persist for a further period in routine backups until those are cycled, and in records we are required to keep for legal, financial or audit purposes. Where your content has already been incorporated into TOSE editorial, marketing or archived records, we retain a limited continuing licence for that content, with attribution where reasonably practicable.
Earnings that are available when you leave remain in your account and may be withdrawn in the normal way. Confirmed earnings remain recorded and become available if and when we receive the related commission. Pending earnings lapse if the underlying purchase has not been confirmed when you leave. Partnership amounts already earned are treated as section 6 describes.
10. Suspension and removal
We may suspend or end your participation for a material breach of these terms. Where we do, your page and posts are unpublished immediately, and the content, earnings and retention treatment of section 9 applies, with two differences: where the breach involves fraud or deliberate abuse of the programme, the earnings connected to that misconduct may be withheld or reclaimed; and we may retain relevant content beyond the usual period where we reasonably need it as evidence of the breach or to comply with a legal obligation.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the programme evolves or the law changes; when a change is material, we will tell you, and continued participation after a change means you accept it. If you do not accept a change, you can stop being a Curator as set out in section 9.
12. Everything else
The main Terms and conditions — including the sections on liability, complaints, data, and governing law — apply to your Curator activity as they apply to everything else you do on TOSE.
